Driton Sadiku was born on August 11, 1983, in Pristina. He completed his primary education in Lipjan and continued his secondary education at the Medical High School “Dr. Ali Sokoli” in Pristina. He earned his first Bachelor’s degree in Management and Informatics from AAB College (www.kolegjiaab.com) in 2009 and a second Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Sciences in 2019.
In 2023, he successfully completed his Master’s studies in Health Management at the same institution (www.kolegjiaab.com) , demonstrating strong academic commitment and performance.
Driton Sadiku’s professional career began in 2006 and has encompassed public service, healthcare, and academic engagement. He started his career as a Police Officer in Lipjan with the Kosovo Police (www.kosovopolice.com) , serving from 2006 to 2013, where he contributed to public order and emergency response.
From 2013 to 2015, he worked as a Housing Manager for Immigrants in Sweden (www.migrationsverket.se) , coordinating services and support for asylum seekers, particularly those fleeing war zones such as Syria, in collaboration with the Swedish Migration Agency.
Since 2018, he has been working as a Nurse at the Emergency Medical Center in the Municipality of Pristina (www.prishtinaonline.com) , providing critical healthcare services in life-threatening situations.
In parallel with his medical career, Driton Sadiku has been actively involved in higher education since 2018. He holds the position of University Assistant/Lecturer at AAB College (www.kolegjiaab.com) , where he teaches subjects related to medical sciences.
As of 2023, he has been appointed as the Coordinator of the ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) program by the Kosovo College of Surgeons. He leads the implementation of the ATLS program, accredited by the American College of Surgeons, for medical professionals nationwide and beyond (www.koscs.org) .
Scientific Work and Conferences
He has been a passive participant in numerous conferences and professional trainings. In 2023, he participated in the 30th Albanian Surgical Conference & the 7th Albanian Congress of Trauma and Emergency Surgery held in Tirana, where he was the co-author of a scientific paper titled: “The Role of Continuing Professional Education and Specific Trainings in Pre-Hospital Emergencies.”
His academic work focuses on integrating practical healthcare experience with the management of healthcare systems, making him a valuable contributor to the development of higher education in Kosovo. Known for his organizational skills, professional ethics, and dedication to his work and profession, Driton Sadiku enjoys the respect of both colleagues and students.
He currently resides in Lipjan, Kosovo. He is married, has three children, and is deeply committed to lifelong learning, institutional development, and the advancement of the healthcare and education sectors in Kosovo.
