Erëza Mehmeti

Erëza Mehmeti completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” in the field of English Language and Literature. She obtained her master’s degree in the program “Applied Linguistics with TESOL” at the University of Sheffield – International Faculty, CITY College. Currently, she is a PhD candidate in the program “Teacher Education and Educational Science” at the University of Ljubljana.

Her professional experience includes extensive engagement in higher education and international project management. Since 2022, she has been part of AAB College, where she holds the position of Project Officer and lectures courses such as Research Methods in Education and English for Specific Purposes.

She also has substantial experience in coordinating international relations, managing partnerships, Erasmus+ mobilities, summer schools, and conferences at institutions including AAB College, Universum, and UBT.

Her professional background also includes:

  • English language teacher at The Cambridge School (2019–2020), where she taught levels A1 – C2 and prepared students for the TOEFL exam;
  • Trainer in the topics “Teaching English to Young Learners” and “Critical Thinking and Media Literacy” at the organization KETNET;
  • Coordinator at the International Office of UNIVERSUM and UBT, responsible for promoting international activities, managing partnerships, and organizing staff and student mobilities.

In addition to her doctoral studies, she has completed several professional trainings, including:

  • Trainings on Organizational Culture and Leadership, and on Teaching Methodology in Higher Education (AAB College, 2021);
  • EFQM Certified Foundation Training by Ludwig Erhard Preis and EFQM (2021);
  • International teacher development programs such as “Integrating Critical Thinking into Culture in the EFL Context” (AE E-Teacher Program) and “Creating ELT Materials” by iTDi.

She possesses advanced skills in communication, time management, problem solving, and teamwork. She is fluent in English and highly experienced in designing and implementing international projects.

Her academic research focuses on English language, teaching, academic writing, and critical thinking. Selected publications include:

  • Mehmeti, Erëza. (2019). The Portrayal of Teenagers in British and American Newspapers; a Corpus-Based Study.

In addition to academic and teaching activities, Erëza Mehmeti has represented AAB College and her previous institutions in various international weeks in countries such as Lithuania, Latvia, France, Czech Republic, Croatia, and other European countries. These visits aimed at sharing best practices in the field of internationalization and international projects in higher education. They have contributed to strengthening inter-institutional cooperation, preparing joint projects, and advancing strategic objectives for institutional internationalization.
