Fjolla Trakaniqi was born in Peja, 26, August, 1984.
Education
Prof. Assoc. Dr. Fjolla Trakaniqi successfully defended her doctoral dissertation on February 28, 2018, at the Doctoral School of the European University of Tirana, with the topic: “Time Management in Contemporary Business (An Analysis of Medium and Large Enterprises in Kosovo),” earning the academic title of Doctor of Economic Sciences, with a specialization in Management (uet.edu.al). On March 26, 2011, she completed her postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Economics, University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”, in the field of Management and Informatics, with the thesis titled: “Management of Financing Sources for Small and Medium Enterprises in Kosovo”, earning the degree of Master of Science in Economics (MSc) (uni-pr.edu). She completed her undergraduate studies on July 12, 2005, at the Faculty of Applied Business Sciences in Peja, within the framework of the University of Prishtina, majoring in Business Administration (unhz.eu). She graduated with a GPA above nine (out of ten), with the thesis: “Privatization Opportunities for Enterprises under the Conditions of a Transitional Economy.” For her outstanding academic achievements, she was awarded the “Distinguished Student” diploma and received a merit-based scholarship from the University of Prishtina. She completed her primary and secondary education in the city of Peja.
Academic and Professional Experience
Prof. Assoc. Dr. Fjolla Trakaniqi has extensive and continuous experience in higher education since 2007. She initially began her academic career as an assistant at the University of Prishtina – Faculty of Applied Business Sciences in Peja (uni-pr.edu), and was officially appointed as a full-time assistant on November 10, 2011. With the establishment of “Haxhi Zeka” University in Peja (unhz.eu), she continued her academic contribution as a lecturer at the Faculty of Business from July 12, 2012, to September 30, 2017. During the 2014–2015 academic year, she served as Head of the Business Administration Department at the same faculty and was a member of the Scientific Council, where she made a valuable contribution to the institutional and research development of the academic unit.
Since October 1, 2018, she has been engaged as a professor at the Faculty of Economics at AAB College (aab-edu.net), where she continues to lecture and conduct scientific research in the field of management. From 2022 to 2024, she held the position of Program Coordinator for the BA in Marketing and Business, contributing to curriculum development and student mentoring. As of 2024, she has taken on the responsibility of coordinating the professional BA program in Digital Business, which includes two specializations: Artificial Intelligence in Business and Social Media Management.
Beyond academia, she has also held significant roles in the managerial sector. During 2005–2006, she served as a Manager at the “Jeton” Design Bureau in Prizren, where she was involved in the management of economic and urban development projects. Since 2006, she has served as Executive Director of the Non-Governmental Organization “Center for Rural Business Management” in Peja, leading projects that support rural enterprises and promote sustainable economic development within the community.
Teaching Experience in Higher Education
Prof. Assoc. Dr. Fjolla Trakaniqi has maintained an active and consistent presence in higher education since the 2007/08 academic year, contributing to both undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the fields of management, marketing, and international economics. She has taught a wide range of theoretical and practical courses focused on developing students’ managerial knowledge and critical thinking skills.
span style=”font-weight: 400;”>Since 2018, she has been engaged as a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics at AAB College, teaching in bachelor-level programs. The courses she has delivered include: Introduction to Digital Business, Principles of Management in Digital Business, The Accountant in Business, Globalization Trends, Marketing Strategies, Service Marketing, and European Economic Integration.
During the period 2012–2017, she served as a lecturer at the Faculty of Business at “Haxhi Zeka” University in Peja, where she taught courses such as: Fundamentals of Management, Fundamentals of Business, SME Management, Fundamentals of Marketing, Enterprise Economy, International Economics, and Fundamentals of Statistics.
At the master’s level, in the programs Business Administration and Finance and Accounting, she taught the course Marketing for Managers.
From 2007 to 2012, she worked as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Applied Business Sciences in Peja (University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”), assisting in courses including: Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship, Organizational Behavior, Fundamentals of Business I & II, Business Basics in Tourism, and Business Basics in Hospitality.

Additional Activities and Academic Contributions
Since 2017, she has been a member of the SCARA Institute – Center for Science, Academic Research and Arts, in the Republic of Kosovo, contributing to the promotion of interdisciplinary research and the development of scientific and cultural projects. In 2018, she played a direct advisory role as an economic consultant within the White Book 2018 project of the European Investors Council (EIC), offering expertise in macroeconomic policy, improving the business environment, and enhancing the investment climate in Kosovo (White Book 2018). Throughout her career, she has participated in numerous national and international conferences, presenting research papers and sharing her academic and practical experience in fields such as management, economic development, and business digitalization. In terms of academic contribution, she has served dozens of times as mentor, chair, and member of graduation thesis committees—both at the bachelor level at “Haxhi Zeka” University in Peja and at the master’s level at AAB College – Faculty of Economics—supporting students in the preparation and defense of their final theses.

Additionally, she possesses advanced knowledge in the use of information technology, including the most commonly used applications in academic and managerial environments, which she has skillfully applied in data analysis, report preparation, and professional presentations.
