Asst. Prof. Dr. Lavdim Terziu was born on July 10, 1986, in Pozharan, Municipality of Viti, where he completed his primary education, while his secondary education was completed in the city of Gjilan. In 2008, he graduated from the Faculty of Education at the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina,” with a major in History – Civic Education (https://uni-pr.edu/). In 2012, he completed his postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Languages, Cultures, and Communication at the South East European University (SEEU), specializing in Management and Leadership in Education, and was awarded the title Master of Science. Later, in 2017, he successfully defended his doctoral dissertation at the same university, with the topic: “The Challenges of Administration and Management in Pre-University Education in Kosovo (2000–2015)”, earning the academic title Doctor of Science in Governance and Public Administration (https://www.seeu.edu.mk).
His professional career began in pre-university education, where during the period 2009-2013 he served as a teacher at the Secondary School “Halil Alidema” in Pozharan, Municipality of Viti. In 2011, he was engaged as a Supervisor and Trainer for the Population Census in the Municipality of Viti, within the national project organized by the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (ASK) (https://ask.rks-gov.net).
Prof. Lavdim Terziu is an academic and researcher with extensive experience in both pre-university and higher education in Kosovo. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Administration at AAB College (https://aab-edu.net), where he is actively involved in teaching, curriculum development, and academic research at the bachelor’s and master’s levels. With a well-established career encompassing teaching in secondary and higher education institutions, academic leadership as Deputy Director of a school operating under international standards, and collaboration with educational institutions, public administration bodies, and research sector stakeholders, he embodies a professional profile focused on improving the quality of public education, promoting administrative reform, and strengthening institutional efficiency across both public and academic sectors.
During the 2016-2017 period, he lectured at the American Academy – now known as the Maarif Schools of Kosovo (https://kosova.maarifschools.org) – where, in 2017, he was appointed Deputy Director, responsible for overseeing the institution’s academic and administrative operations.
Within AAB College, beyond teaching, he has contributed to the development of academic programs, design of course syllabi, mentoring of graduating students, as well as to research and scientific activities, including the organization of international conferences within the faculty.
He has completed a series of professional trainings organized by the Center for Professional Development and Innovation at AAB, focusing on research methodology, teaching strategies, pedagogy in higher education, as well as organizational culture and leadership.
He contributes significantly to connecting academic knowledge with administrative practice, thereby enriching the institutional experience of both students and colleagues.
Prof. Lavdim Terziu maintains a consistent academic engagement in the field of public administration and social sciences. Since the academic year 2017/18, he has been a full-time faculty member at AAB College, teaching in the Faculty of Public Administration at both bachelor’s and master’s levels. His teaching responsibilities cover a broad range of subjects related to public management, local governance, and the digital transformation of public administration.

He is married, has two children, and resides in Pozharan, Municipality of Viti, Kosovo.
