Prof. Ass. Dr. Mybera Mustafa was born on 17.02.1967, in Mitrovica, where she completed her primary and secondary education. In 1999, she graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of University of Pristina in the field of Dentistry. She also, in 2010, completed her postgraduate studies at the same institution in the field of “Management and Health”, where she earned the title Master of Science in Health Management (Mr.Sc).
Further, in 2016, she defended her doctoral dissertation at State University of Tirana, Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Public Health, Department of Health Economics on the topic: “PUBLIC HEALTH WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE HEALTH STRATEGY FOR KOSOVO”, being honored with the title Doctor of Public Health Sciences, profile in Health Management.
Her professional experience began after 1999 in Kosovo, starting with co-governance with the international administration in Kosovo and the creation of health policies for the new state of Kosovo, and continued with the declaration of Kosovo’s Independence and the creation of independent institutions of the state of Kosovo.
Dr. Mybera Mustafa, in the years 1999-2000, worked in the position of Coordinator for Primary Health Care in the in the municipal administration of the municipality of Prizren. From 2001 – 2006, she worked as Municipal Director for Health and Social Welfare, in the municipal administration of the municipality of Prizren, where she had the opportunity to work closely with the UNMIK international administration, to be a witness to the great works and transformations of competencies from the international administration of UNMIK to the local ones, and for 5 years, she was a participant in many training processes, working groups, drafting of laws and regulations for the administration of the Health and Social Welfare System in Kosovo. During these years, in addition to managing Primary Health where she was involved in the organization and implementation of Family Medicine as a new concept in the health history of the new state of Kosovo, Dr. Mybera Mustafa, within the framework of the local municipal Social Welfare, collaborated with the relevant competent institutions of those years as well as with international donors, with the aim of finding alternatives for solving housing and livelihood issues for the homeless after the 1999 war, many of whom lived in temporary collective shelters. During her mandate as Municipal Director for Health and Social Welfare, together with her collaborators, she managed to close 7 collective shelters after the last war and find long-term housing solutions for more than 100 families who had been left homeless as a result of the war.
From 2001 to 2006, Dr. Mybera Mustafa was also designated as the municipal focal point for gender equality issues, during which time he had close cooperation with the local UNMIK administration, the mayor of Prizren, international organizations (UNMIK, OSCE), as well as many non-governmental and governmental, national and international associations that operated in large numbers in Kosovo after 1999.
In 2006–2007, she served as the Municipal Chief Executive, heading all municipal directorates and acting as the main authorizing officer for personnel and financial management of the Prizren municipal administration, while also performing duties of the Secretary General of the Municipal Assembly (UNMIK/RREG/2000/45 11 August 2000).
From 2008–2010, she worked as Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Health of Kosovo.
From 2016–2017, she worked as Health Advisor in the Cabinet of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo.

Currently, Dr. Mybera Mustafa works as a full-time lecturer at AAB College at the Bachelor and Master levels, and is also employed as a coordinator at the private polyclinic “My Poliklinik” in Prizren.
