Prof. Ass. Dr. Ylber Bajraktari was born on June 6, 1977, in Prizren. He completed his primary education in the village of Polluzhë, Rahovec Municipality, and his secondary education in the field of “General Medicine” in Prizren. In 2006, he graduated from the Faculty of Mathematical and Natural Sciences, Department of Chemistry, with a thesis titled Determination of Some Heavy Metals in Honey. He was awarded the academic title “Professor of Chemistry”.
In 2008, he completed his postgraduate studies at the same institution, specializing in “Analytical and Environmental Chemistry,” earning the degree of Master of Science (Mr.Sc). As part of his professional engagements, he worked as a rural agricultural surveyor at the Statistical Office during 2004–2005. Subsequently, he continued his career at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Rural Development in the Department of Vineyards and Wines, serving as a senior official from September 2007 until May 2017.
While working and studying in the field of Biotechnology, in April 2015 he defended his doctoral dissertation at the University of Tirana, Faculty of Natural Sciences – Department of Biotechnology. The dissertation was entitled: Assessment of the Genetic Diversity of Grape Varieties in Kosovo Based on Molecular Markers and Agronomic Data, earning him the degree of Doctor of Science.
His professional experience continued as General Manager at StoneCastle Wineyards & Vinery, the largest company in the Balkans specializing in vineyard cultivation and wine production, from May 2017 to January 2021, where he led with dignity the technological changes and advancements of the modern era.
Prof. Ass. Dr. Ylber Bajraktari has been a professor since October 2017 at the Faculty of Dentistry and Medical Sciences at AAB College. Following successful academic contributions at this higher education institution, he was awarded the title of Assistant Professor in October 2022.
Prof. Bajraktari has an active academic career. Since the 2017/18 academic year, he has been part of the regular faculty at AAB College, teaching natural science subjects including Medical Chemistry, Life Sciences – Biochemistry, Biophysics, Radiology, and General Biochemistry.
