Two professors from the Faculty of Foreign Languages at AAB College, Aida Thaqi and Eriona Ajvazi, participated in the International Winter School organized by the University of Valencia in Spain, titled “Transformative Discourse Studies: Social and Political Struggle in a Polarised World.”
The Winter School aimed to explore the role of discourse in processes of social and political change, addressing it through an interdisciplinary lens and transformative methodological approaches.
Within the framework of the Winter School, Prof. Aida Thaqi presented a scientific paper examining the role of discourse in activism for gender equality in Kosovar society, analyzing how public and social discourses influence the construction of narratives on gender equality.
Meanwhile, Prof. Eriona Ajvazi presented a paper on the mediation discourse of the European Union, treating it as a transformative discourse that contributes to the construction and consolidation of contemporary societies.
