The conference “Promotion of the Stabilization Association Agreement (SAA) through education” was held in the framework of the “EU Business Law” project with the coordinator professor of the Faculty of Economics, Donat Rexha. This conference took place with the panel consisting of Luica Parducci of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Professor Pranvera Dalloshi, Professor Mentor Borovci and Kujtim Gjevori from Powerpack & Scampa.

The vice-rector of AAB College, Venera Llunij, assessed the impact that higher education has on the development of the country and this importance is divided into multiple layers that go beyond the personal development of the individual. Therefore, as such, educational institutions have the duty to develop these agreements and projects.

Luica Parducci from the European Union Office in Kosovo spoke about the connection between education and SAA, adding that in this context it has a crucial role and the Erasmus+ program supports these initiatives. She added that this project was developed within the Jean Monnet module that AAB College won in 2021.

Professor Pranvera Dalloshi presented to the attendees a research carried out together with Professor Donat Rexha and Professor Mentor Borovci, in cooperation with the students of the Faculty of Economics on the topic “Implications of compliance with EU requirements for products on the costs and revenues of the manufacturing sector in Kosovo”, which aimed at a comprehensive analysis regarding the impact of the compliance process with EU requirements for products on the financial performance, respectively costs and revenues of Kosovar manufacturing enterprises.

Professor Mentor Borovci, who was also the author of the Manual “Doing business in the European Union market” together with Professor Pranvera Dalloshi and Professor Donat Rexha, said that there were various challenges in the preparation of the manual and the conception of its structure. But he added that this manual will serve all students of the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Law and contains key instructions that are respected in the European Union market that should be taken into account by Kosovar businesses.

Kujtim Gjevori, an entrepreneur in the production industry, shared his experiences in this field and the positive aspects that SAA had for the market outside the borders of Kosovo.

At the end, discussions took place and questions were asked by the students present about the project, the manual and the SAA in general.
