Within the framework of the Summer Academy organized by the American University in Chisinau, the Ministry of Education and the Conference of Rectors, at the Constantin Stere University in this city, the award ceremony of Doctor Honoris Causa for Kosovo poet, Lulzim Tafa was held.

In addition to professors and students, the ceremony was attended by many guests, representatives of state institutions, cultural institutions, rectors from 28 different universities, ambassadors of many countries, including ambassadors and representatives of countries that have not yet have recognized Kosovo, such as the Russian Federation, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Ukraine, China, Romania, Georgia, etc.

In his speech, the lauder described Tafa as a poet who, with his verses, won the hearts of readers in Europe and beyond.

Lulzim Tafa in his speech to the audience said that this is an honor for him, and for literature and its values: “Thank you for believing in these values, I will never forget such a beautiful moment, and you will always be in my heart, I am inspired by the youth, the generation of Technology. Technology has shrinked the world in size and thus increased the chances of people getting to know each other better, getting to know each other’s literature and culture. There are also increased chances to work together for the benefit of mankind, such as the advancement of human rights, freedom and democracy, animal rights and the environment” said Rector Tafa.
