The Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Economics at AAB College held a meeting with the Head of the International Office of Hochschule Schmalkalden – University of Applied Sciences, Dr. Paul Voerkel, within the framework of ongoing efforts to deepen international cooperation and enhance academic quality.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged best practices from both institutions in the field of internationalization, with particular emphasis on bridging universities with industry and integrating practical components into study programs. Discussions also focused on concrete approaches through which higher education institutions are addressing recent developments in digital technology and reflecting them in the content and structure of academic programs.
A key point of the meeting was the mutual agreement to intensify cooperation in the exchange of students and academic staff, aiming to create greater opportunities for international experience and professional development. In this regard, concrete initiatives for joint projects were also discussed, which are expected to contribute to the development of students’ soft skills, such as intercultural communication, teamwork, and adaptability in dynamic international environments.
This cooperation is expected to generate added value for students and staff of both institutions, further strengthening the international dimension of the Faculty of Economics and positioning it in line with contemporary trends in higher education in Europe.
