As part of the marking of World Cancer Day, the Faculty of Health Sciences at AAB College organized an informative lecture aimed at raising awareness about cancer care and the role of health professionals in Kosovo.
The lecture was delivered by Ilir Kurtishi, Assistant Professor and Oncology specialist, who spoke about the current state of oncological care in Kosovo, highlighting the main challenges faced by the healthcare system, such as late diagnosis, the lack of specialized resources, and the need for more advanced therapeutic approaches.
Part of the lecture focused on the role of health professionals, emphasizing the need for cooperation and active involvement in community health education.
The lecture was accompanied by interactive discussions, during which participants had the opportunity to ask questions and share their views on the challenges and future perspectives of cancer care in Kosovo.
