The Faculty of Psychology marks “International Mental Health Day”

To mark October 10, International Mental Health Day, the Faculty of Psychology organized two main activities on the topic: “Mental Health Challenges in Kosovo”.

The main event was held at the AAB College Media Center, where a professional discussion table was preceded by a presentation on drug use by the Labyrinth Center.

After the presentation, the discussion was attended by a panel of experts consisting of Dr. Neki Juniku, who brought his many years of experience in the field, Dr. Sc. Mimoza Shahini, from the University Psychiatric Clinical Center for Children and Adolescents; Safet Blakaj from the Labyrinth Center, as well as Dr.Sc. Naim Telaku, as the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, who summarized personal and institutional experiences in this field.

The discussion closed with questions from the public and conclusions on the necessity of increasing professional and academic commitment to advancing mental health infrastructure and services in Kosovo.

Afterwards, the activities continued at the AAB College “Faruk Begolli” Theater, where students and participants were shown a psychological film “Awakenings” by Penny Marshall.
