The Gender Studies Conference at AAB College is officially opened

The third consecutive edition of the gender studies conference at AAB College has officially opened, where 7 sessions are planned with several keynote speakers and different topics. The opening speech was given by the Vice-Rector of AAB College, Shemsedin Vehapi, who thanked the participants, main speakers and collaborators for making this conference possible. The Vice-Rector for Science and Research at AAB College Uranela Demaj, said that this conference will focus on every topic related to women’s rights, addressing them in detail through plenary sessions and competent persons on this matter. Even the Vice-Rector for International Relations and Cooperation at the University of Gjilan, Dukagjin Leka, said that they feel privileged to be a partner of AAB College in such an organization, which deals with such an important topic for society.

This conference continued with the first session moderated by the Vice-Rector of AAB College Venera Llunji, with the topic “Women’s rights in Kosovo and the Balkans”, in the panel that consisted of the Minister of Justice Albulena Haxhiu, the deputy ombudsman Majlinda Lulaj and Biljana Nastovska adviser on gender issues in the OSCE.

The conference will continue on May 6 with other sessions, simulations and conversations with students from different faculties of AAB College.
