Training on competency-based student assessment held at AAB College

At AAB College, the training “Competency-Based Student Assessment and Grade Construction” was
held, organized by the QAPI (Center for Professional Development and Innovation).

The training was led by professors Shemsedin Vehapi, Xhavit Rexhaj, and Leron Berisha, who shared
their experiences and best practices in contemporary student assessment.

During the training, participants were introduced to modern assessment concepts, with a particular
focus on transitioning from traditional models to competency-based assessment, including knowledge,
skills, and abilities.

In addition, techniques for constructing objective and transparent final grades were addressed, along
with the importance of aligning learning outcomes with assessment methods.

The training successfully achieved its objectives by equipping new academic staff with knowledge and
practical tools for fair, professional assessment in line with contemporary higher education standards.
