Prof. Ass. Dr. Nazmi Iballi was born on October 1, 1966, in Shtime, where he also completed his primary and secondary education. In 1992, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Prishtina, majoring in “Banking and Finance” (https://uni-pr.edu/). After graduation, like many other young Albanians, he was not allowed to be employed due to his political background and therefore established a private enterprise, NTP “IBALLI”, based in Shtime.
During this period, he also led the Municipal Council for Financing in Shtime and worked as an accounting teacher at the “Naim Frashëri” High School in Shtime. In both institutions, he worked without pay for a period of five years, until he was arrested and brutally treated by Serbian police and security forces.
In 1998, he responded to the call for the liberation war and served as a financial and logistics officer within the Directorate for Public Relations and Civil Administration (DPMAC). Along with the former Economic Institute of Kosovo and professors Mujë Gjonbalaj, Zenel Kelmendi, and activist Ismajl Kastrati, he co-authored the Financial Acts and Regulations governing the formal operation of the Financial Directorate under the General Staff of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
After the war, he was appointed Director of Economy and Finance in the Municipality of Shtime until 2004. Following that, he worked at REA-Prishtina as Executive Project Director. He completed his Master’s studies in 2009 at the Faculty of Economics, University of Prishtina, and received the academic title Mr.Sc. in Economics (https://uni-pr.edu/). From 2011 to 2013, he completed his doctoral studies at UNI-BIT Sofia and was awarded the academic title Dr.Sc. in Management (http://www.unibit.bg/en).
He began his academic career in 2005 when he was employed as a full-time professor at ILIRIA College in Prishtina, where he worked until 2015. During this period, he also served as Financial Director in the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology. From 2014 to 2016, he was Dean and Full Professor at the Faculty of Public Safety under the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety, based in Vushtrri.
In 2014, he joined the College of Higher Education AAB as a full-time professor, where he continues to teach courses assigned by the dean according to semester and curriculum plans in economics and management.

2010–2012: Financial Manager and Accountant at Maksiti Putz, Shtime.
2009–2012: Financial Manager and Accountant at DELIA GROUP, Tirana–Prishtina.
2005–2015: Owner of the individual financial and accounting services business “BILANCI” based in Shtime.
Prof. Ass. Dr. Nazmi Iballi is the author of two university textbooks. In 2019, he published the book Financial Analysis with Auditing, and in 2023, he published another student-oriented book titled Leadership (ISBN: 978-9951-29-264-1).
Notably, the book Financial Analysis with Auditing (ISBN: 978-9951-494-84-7), published by AAB College, was selected (among other publications) by the National Library of Kosovo to represent Kosovo at the International Book Fair in Leipzig, Germany.

Prof. Nazmi Iballi is married and has four children. He lives in Shtime.
