The Rector of AAB College, Prof. Blerim Olluri, welcomed the Director of the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative (RAI), Mr. Albert Hani, to discuss opportunities for institutional cooperation in the fields of anti corruption, public integrity, and the rule of law.
RAI is a regional intergovernmental organization comprising nine member states from Southeast Europe. Its mission is to strengthen regional cooperation in the fight against corruption through the exchange of knowledge, best practices, and the development of institutional capacities.
During the meeting, the participants discussed opportunities for collaboration in organizing scientific conferences, research projects, workshops, and professional training programmes, as well as advancing university curricula in the fields of anti-corruption, ethics, and public integrity. The parties also explored the possibility of involving RAI’s expertise in the academic and professional activities of AAB College.
On this occasion, the Rector of AAB College, Prof. Blerim Olluri, emphasized the importance of international partnerships in strengthening academic quality and supporting the professional development of students.
“Cooperation with RAI represents an important opportunity to advance knowledge and best practices in the fields of integrity, anti-corruption, and the rule of law. Through this partnership, we aim to create new opportunities for students, academic staff, and the professional community, while contributing to capacity building and promoting the values of transparency and accountability,” Rector Olluri stated.
The meeting also highlighted the role of the Faculty of Law and Criminology in promoting a culture of integrity, professional ethics, and the rule of law. In this context, Ganimete Ismajli, Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, noted that cooperation with RAI would create additional opportunities for regional networking, the exchange of experiences, and the professional development of students and young professionals in line with international standards.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed their commitment to building a sustainable institutional partnership focused on promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability, as well as developing joint projects, scientific research, and innovative initiatives in the fields of anti-corruption and the rule of law.
