Arts

The Faculty of Arts is a rich environment that offers programs with various study practices in art, graphic design and visual arts, fashion design, game design and animation, painting, musicology, and choreography. With a special focus on human values and finding the role of art in society, it is an opportunity and a place where a student’s creativity can be developed and cultivated within the framework of values and responsibilities in society and the environment.

The provision of practice for all faculties enables students to be professional and efficient through innovative teaching methodologies and practices that are in line with the most contemporary trends. The various programs in the Faculty of Arts aim to train and prepare students with knowledge in the development of many forms of art as well as contemporary media, including art currents that appear outside of school spaces, galleries, public spaces, or various design studios.

He graduated in Painting at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Prishtina in 2001, where he continued and completed his postgraduate studies in 2005. He has participated and presented his works in numerous exhibitions and conferences of a regional nature and international, including events organized by the Italian association for architecture, art and urban restoration / Italy, in 2012. He currently works as a Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Arts at AAB in Pristina.

From 2003 to 2007, he was the Chairman of the Association of Figurative Arts for the region of Gjilan, where he organized numerous artistic events with adults, but also young people and children, including artistic colonies, the Olympics of Games without borders for children in Gjilan and many exhibitions for the members of the Association of Figurative Arts. He has also participated in personal and collective exhibitions in Kosovo and abroad. From 2000-2002 he organized joint France-Kosovo artistic colonies, in cooperation with the ALFA association from the city of Vernon in France.

Study visits: France, England, Albania, USA, Italy, Greece, Germany, Turkey, Bulgaria, Austria, Belgium, Holland, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia. In 2000, he won a scholarship from the HeinrichBellStiftung.

He has also participated in over 20 collective exhibitions and three artistic colonies in the country and abroad.

Elisa Nikolla

She was born in Lezhë, Albania. She completed her basic studies in the field of British and American cultural studies at the University of Shkodra “Luigj Gurakuqi” in 2008. She then completed her master’s studies at the Philological University of Tirana for “Intercultural Communication-Tourism and Linguistics” in 2010.

She is currently continuing his doctoral studies in Sofia, Bulgaria at the NBU University, Department of Design, with the thesis “Visual Culture, Visual Communication and Digital Culture as interdisciplinary fields from tradition to innovation”.

Elisa Nikolla has joined AAB College since 2013 as a lecturer in the Faculty of Arts.

She has been a coordinator in many cultural projects in various organizations such as CAAP, Terres des Hommes, World Vision, H.A.N.A as well as for several years as a collaborator of the “FLATRA” magazine dedicated only to art and lifestyle.

Elisa Nikolla has served as an external advisor to the Book and Projects Sector, in the Management Directorate of Centers for Openness and Dialogue(COD) in the period December 2021 – December 2022, Tirana.

She holds the position of Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Arts in the AAB College from 2020 onwards.

She has made a series of study visits to Italy, Greece, Germany, Bulgaria, Finland, Croatia, Estonia and Macedonia, while she has participated in various cultural-artistic exhibitions and colonies with AAB College students both abroad and within the country.
