Engin Melekoglu

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Engin Melekoğlu was born on August 25, 1981, in Prizren, Kosovo. He completed his undergraduate studies in 2006 at Trakya University in Edirne, majoring in Computer Engineering. In 2010, he earned his master’s degree from Anadolu University in Eskişehir, and in 2023, he obtained his Ph.D. from Sakarya University in the field of Computer Engineering and Informatics.

His professional career includes extensive experience in the private, public, and academic sectors. Initially, he worked in various software development companies in Turkey, such as Netsis Software, Markadestek, ASD Web Design, and Grafikirler LLC, holding key roles such as software developer, technical coordinator, and software department manager.

After returning to Kosovo, he served as a Political Advisor to the Minister at the Ministry of Public Administration (2011–2014), where he contributed to the development and digitization of public services. Concurrently, he was engaged as a lecturer at the University of Prishtina, the University of Prizren, and the European Polytechnic University.

Since 2015, he has been a permanent member of the staff at AAB College, where he holds the positions of Lecturer and Project Coordinator in the Faculty of Computer Science. For a period, he also served as the Coordinator of Turkish Education at AAB College. He is also the Director and Founder of ESengineering Software & Advertisement LLC, established in 2013.

In the academic sphere, Dr. Melekoğlu is involved in teaching various subjects, including:

Among the projects he has developed are: e-Governance, e-Health, e-Education, e-Tourism, e-Culture, as well as mobile applications such as “Where am I (GPRS-Google Maps),” accounting software, B2B systems, and e-commerce platforms

He has participated in important regional and international trainings and seminars, including:

His extensive and rich experience in Artificial Intelligence, software development, and contributions to the digitization of public institutions and higher education make him a prominent figure in the fields of technology and education in Kosovo and beyond.

He is proficient in Albanian, Turkish, English, and Serbian.

Currently, he resides in Prizren, is married, and has two children.
