Prof. Kosovare Ukshini was born on June 1, 1986, in Gjakova. She began her academic journey in 2008, completing her undergraduate studies in Banking, Finance, and Accounting. She continued at the same institution, earning her Master’s degree in Management and Informatics in 2012. She further pursued her academic development at the South East European University (SEEU) in North Macedonia, where she successfully defended her PhD in Economic Sciences in 2019. Her doctoral research, supervised by Academician Prof. Dr. Izet Zeqiri, focused on the role of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in employment generation in Kosovo, with a special emphasis on the impact of institutional support policies in this domain.
Prof. Ukshini has been affiliated with AAB College since 2008 as a full-time academic staff member. Over the years, she has held various institutional roles, including Student Activities Coordinator (2013–2018), Teaching Coordinator (2018–2019), and Trainer for academic staff development programs. Since 2019, she has served as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics, contributing to the management and academic development of the faculty.
Beyond teaching and academic leadership, Prof. Ukshini has been involved in significant research and development projects. Between 2012 and 2014, she was a member of the Scientific Research Commission at the Kosovo Institute of Finance (IFK), and she continues to engage in academic collaborations with national and international institutions.
In 2012, she was appointed as a trainer at the Kosovo Institute for Public Administration (IKAP), where she delivered training modules aimed at enhancing the capacity of civil servants and public managers—especially in human resources management and development. This experience enriched her understanding of the intersection between public policy and the practical needs of public administration in Kosovo.
She has participated in numerous specialized trainings on higher education teaching and academic quality improvement. She is certified by the Center for Excellence in Teaching at the University of Prishtina for training in teaching methodology, assessment standards, and the use of interactive methods in education. She has also received training in research project design and management, and curriculum development aligned with the Bologna Process standards. In 2020, she took part in a workshop organized by Savonia University of Applied Sciences in Finland on “Economic Recovery after COVID-19,” where she explored global economic recovery policies and challenges.

In addition to her academic and research contributions, Prof. Ukshini is known for her ongoing commitment to organizing and promoting student-centered activities at AAB College. She has played a key role in initiatives such as Global Entrepreneurship Week, Innovation Week, Money Week, and other interdisciplinary educational events. These efforts have helped enrich students’ practical experiences and build bridges between academia, business, and public institutions in Kosovo.
