Prof. Assoc. Dr. Shaip Bytyçi was born on August 31, 1965, in Sllovi, where he also completed his primary education. He completed his secondary education in Lipjan, majoring in “Accounting Technician.” In 1989, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Prishtina, specializing in “Enterprise Economics,” with a thesis titled: Balance Sheet Analysis in the Enterprise ‘Metalac’ Janjevë (https://uni-pr.edu/). In 2002, he completed his postgraduate studies at the same institution with the thesis: The Role of Marketing in Enterprises, focusing on the company “Mabetex,” earning the title Master of Economic Sciences (Mr.Sc.). Subsequently, in 2010, he defended his doctoral dissertation at the “St. Clement of Ohrid” University – Bitola, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality in Ohrid, with the dissertation: Management – Implementation of Marketing in Service Activities in Kosovo, being awarded the title Doctor of Science in the field of insurance (https://aspi.mk/sq/home/).
Prof. Assoc. Dr. Shaip Bytyçi’s professional experience began in the field of education as a mathematics teacher in the primary cycle at “Hasan Zuko Kamberi” Primary School in Sllovi during the years 1994–1998. From 1999 to 2002, he held the position of Financial Manager at the company “Mabetex” in Kosovo (https://www.mabetex.com/contact/europe/kosovo/). Between 2002 and 2005, he served as Director for Economic Planning and Development at the Municipal Assembly of Lipjan (https://lipjan.rks-gov.net/). Since 2004, he is the owner of the service company “Konsulenca.” From 2008 to present, he has been on the list of Judicial Experts in the fields of real estate valuation as well as economics and finance (https://www.gjyqesori-rks.org/). Since 2022, he serves as a Professional Procurement Expert at the Procurement Review Body (OSHP). During the period 2017–2021, he was Chairman of the Board of the Institute for Accounting and Auditing in Prishtina, Kosovo (https://institutiaab.org/). Since December 2020, he has been a lecturer at the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, delivering professional training for real estate evaluators.
Prof. Assoc. Dr. Shaip Bytyçi is a senior academic and manager with extensive experience in the public, private, and academic sectors in Kosovo and the region. Since October 2022, he holds the academic title of “Associate Professor” at AAB College. He has an intensive academic activity. Since the 2005 academic year, he has been a regular faculty member at AAB College (https://aab-edu.net/), where he lectures marketing-related courses such as Marketing, Banking Marketing, Marketing Management, Promotion, Services Marketing, Marketing Communication, among others. He has also held leadership roles such as Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economics at AAB College, Prishtina (2005–2016), Dean of the Faculty (2016–2020), and Director of AAB University Campus, Ferizaj branch (2020–2022).
Prof. Bytyçi has also served as a visiting professor in several regional universities: at the University of Durrës, Faculty of Business, New University Campus, Albania (2017–2018) (https://uamd.edu.al/en/), as a visiting professor at the University of Tetova, North Macedonia (2011–2012) (https://unite.edu.mk/), at FON University, Skopje (2010–2012) (https://en.fon.bg.ac.rs/), and at the Faculty of Mathematical and Natural Sciences, University of Prishtina, in the Department of Computers, where he taught Accounting (2005–2010) (https://fiek.uni-pr.edu/page.aspx?id=1,56).
His scientific contribution includes numerous publications in journals indexed in SCOPUS and Google Scholar. Among his best-known works are: Transforming traditional business into online: the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on consumer behavior (2021), Journal of Governance and Regulation; Enhancing organizational performance through effective leadership and communication (2024), Edelweiss Applied Science and Technology; The impact of microcredits on consumer behaviour (2022), Corporate Governance and Organizational Behavior Review; The corporate strategy of increasing the visibility of websites by implementing digital marketing (2024); The role of innovation in the growth of the company (2021), and other publications on traditional vs. online shopping, influence of colors in marketing, guerrilla marketing, the role of music in sales promotion, targeted messaging through photography, the brain drain phenomenon in the Western Balkans, and advertising media in Kosovo.
He is co-author of several textbooks such as Marketing Management, Service Marketing, Marketing Strategy and Direction (Cases and Situations), all published by AAB College in 2007. He also served as reviewer for the book Marketing – Basics by Prof. Dr. Ali Jakupi (2008, Prishtina).
Prof. Bytyçi has participated in numerous trainings and international conferences, including: the International Conference “Artificial Intelligence in the Era of Transformation: Opportunities and Challenges” (AAB, May 2025), Bilsel International Congress of Scientific Research in Samarkand (April 2025), ISCBF International Business Conference (UAMD Albania, 2025), Bilsel Innovation Research Congress in Turkey (March 2025), and other earlier events from 2008 to 2021. He holds certifications in real estate valuation (Ministry of Finance, 2017), ECDL computer literacy (2009), Cisco Networking & Entrepreneurship (2022), human rights training (2006), economic planning (UN Habitat, 2001–2002), sales training, among others. He is also certified as a business counselor and accredited trainer in various schemes from the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Kosovo (2010).
