Vjollca Visoka Hasani

Prof. Assoc.Dr. Vjollca HASANI is a university professor and entrepreneur with experience in international business, economic development, and women’s empowerment through international projects.

Born on July 4, 1973, in Pristina, she completed her primary and secondary education in her hometown, while pursuing higher education in Greece, Switzerland, the USA, and North Macedonia. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from La Crosse Viterbo University, USA (2001), and then a degree in International Management from Rockfield College of Management in Switzerland (2006).

 At the United Nations University for Peace – Regional Institute for Development Studies in Skopje, she completed her Master’s studies in International Business Law (LL.M.), mentored by Prof. Ezio Benedetti from the University of Trieste, Italy.

 In 2014, she earned a PhD in Economic Sciences with a focus on International Business from United Nations University for Peace – Regional Institute for Development Studies in Skopje, mentored by Prof. Dr. Tauno Kekäle, then Rector of Vassa University in Finland. The PhD was awarded with the highest merit, a GPA of 10.0, and the academic title “Doctor of Economic Sciences.”

Her professional experience began in 1994 as co-owner of private Greek companies in Thessaloniki and other businesses in Pristina, where she worked until 1999. Since 2000, she has continued her entrepreneurial activities as co-owner of Art Group and Auto Visoka, representing Renault, Nissan, and Dacia. She has served as a consultant for various international organizations such as Finnish Human Rights, DRC, UNMIK, the European Commission, UNDP, and UN Women, contributing to development projects in Kosovo.

In the academic year 2009/2010, she joined AAB College’s Faculty of Economics as a lecturer, where she continues teaching at both Bachelor and Master levels. From 2012 to 2015, she also served as Dean of the Faculty at AAB College. Currently, Prof. Hasani holds the following academic positions: Professor at University of Nicosia, Cyprus (2015–present), Part-time Lecturer at University of South Wales – UNICAF (2016–present), and Lecturer at RIRS – ECPD UN University of Peace, Skopje (2019–present). She teaches various subjects at Bachelor, MBA, and PhD levels, including Corporate Governance, International Business, Leadership and Managerial Skills, Globalization and Economic Development, Business and EU Law, Organizational Behavior and Auditing.

She is also engaged as Chair of the Arbitration Tribunal at the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce (Dec 2024 – present), Vice President of the Kosovo-Austrian Friendship Association (2023 – present), Head of the Commission for Diploma Recognition and Verification – MEST / NARIC Kosovo (2020–2024), Coordinator and Academic Advisor for the University of East London, LJMU, and University of Suffolk through UNICAF (2023 – present), and International Development Consultant in Cyprus (2019 – present). Additionally, she is co-owner of De Bau (Pristina) and Hellenic Balkan Cooperation (Greece).

She is a Certified Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14000 (WAS-QMS, USA), 

 Peace and Conflict Resolution Consultant (Columbia University, USA), and a Certified Trainer for Corporate Governance (IFC / World Bank). She has completed trainings in Advanced Teaching Methods and Scientific Publishing at Fehmi Agani University (2022), and in Entrepreneurship and Social Responsibility at CISCO / RIT Kosovo (2022).

Additional affiliations include: membership in NARIC and Kosovo Accreditation Agency working groups (2021–2022), under MASHT and ADA Austria, implemented by KEC, ORCA, and ZSI; leadership in the ERASMUS+ project between AAB College and Riga University (2015–2016); and participation in ENQA & KAA accreditation teams in Kosovo (2019–2020), and EDUQUA accreditation in Switzerland (2016, 2020, 2023).

She is fluent in Albanian (native), English, Greek, and Serbian-Croatian, and proficient in German and Turkish.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vjollca V. Hasani represents a successful multidisciplinary profile, combining academia, international development, gender inclusion, and institutional governance, with notable impact in the Western Balkans and beyond. She lives in Pristina with her husband and two children.
