Faculty of Computer Science is fully focused on providing modern forms of teaching, practical and consistent with global technological developments so that tomorrow our students to be competitive in global markets as an individual or as part of prestigious organizations.

Furthermore, students of the Faculty of Computer Science will effectively use a wide range of methods, tools and techniques used in designing and developing software applications, specifying the software designers to meet the needs and aspirations of users, solve complex problems with focus in the field of artificial intelligence, trained in practical work in the field of computer networks as network design, switching and routing, etc.

Faculty of Computer Science at AAB College offers instruction and prepares students for careers in industry-based society where students receive contemporary knowledge by helping to build a vision for the future, to adapt and cope with technological challenges, contributing to the change and the progress of our society.

Recognizing that today’s engineers must be able to solve complex problems of highly focused and related specializations in areas closer to the profession, Faculty of Computer Science combines a core interdisciplinary studies specialized in selected profile for each program.

Arben Ahmeti

Dean

Dr. Techn. Arben Ahmeti was born on September 7, 1975, in Skenderaj, where he also completed his primary and secondary education. In 2000, he graduated from the University of Tirana, Albania, in the field of “Informatics” (5-year program), Faculty of Natural Sciences. In 2010, he completed postgraduate studies at the University of Prishtina, in the field of “Computer and Software Engineering”, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, where he earned the title Master in Computer Science – Software Engineering.

Further, in 2022, he defended his doctoral dissertation at the Vienna University of Technology, in Austria, with the topic: “Solving Multi-Mode Resource-Constrained Multi-Project Scheduling Problems by Hybrid Algorithms”, in the group for Databases and Artificial Intelligence, being awarded the title Doctor of Technical Sciences.

Dr. Techn. Arben Ahmeti has extensive multi-year experience, starting from October 1999, in the public and private sectors of industry and education, with a special emphasis on information technology, higher education, and the strategic development of advanced systems. Currently, he works as a professor at AAB College and holds the position of IT Manager at FINCA Kosovo, where he leads and implements the organization’s technological strategies. Previously, he held key roles at Telecom of Kosovo, including the role of Manager of Business Support and IT Systems for more than 7 years, as well as Chief of Technology and Information System for more than 5 years. He has also served as IT Project Coordinator and IT Expert at the European Agency for Reconstruction, where he led the development of critical platforms and e-procurement systems. In addition, Arben Ahmeti has contributed to the education of new generations in fields such as object-oriented programming, web programming, and artificial intelligence for more than 15 years as a lecturer at higher education institutions like Riinvest, as well as the development and implementation of IT training programs for students of the University of Prishtina within the framework of World University Service Austria (WUS), Prishtina office.

Dr. Techn. Ahmeti also has an active scientific and academic career. He has been invited as a presenter and participant in many international scientific conferences and symposia in the field of artificial intelligence and optimization algorithms, among the most well-known are:

Dr. Techn. Arben Ahmeti has long-standing experience in both industry and academia, in the public and private sectors. Throughout his career, he is known for his unwavering commitment to innovation, value creation, and the advancement of the institutions he serves.

He is married, has two children, and lives in Prishtina.

Engin Melekoglu

Coordinator for teaching matters

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Engin Melekoğlu was born on August 25, 1981, in Prizren, Kosovo. He completed his undergraduate studies in 2006 at Trakya University in Edirne, majoring in Computer Engineering. In 2010, he earned his master’s degree from Anadolu University in Eskişehir, and in 2023, he obtained his Ph.D. from Sakarya University in the field of Computer Engineering and Informatics.

His professional career includes extensive experience in the private, public, and academic sectors. Initially, he worked in various software development companies in Turkey, such as Netsis Software, Markadestek, ASD Web Design, and Grafikirler LLC, holding key roles such as software developer, technical coordinator, and software department manager.

After returning to Kosovo, he served as a Political Advisor to the Minister at the Ministry of Public Administration (2011–2014), where he contributed to the development and digitization of public services. Concurrently, he was engaged as a lecturer at the University of Prishtina, the University of Prizren, and the European Polytechnic University.

Since 2015, he has been a permanent member of the staff at AAB College, where he holds the positions of Lecturer and Project Coordinator in the Faculty of Computer Science. For a period, he also served as the Coordinator of Turkish Education at AAB College. He is also the Director and Founder of ESengineering Software & Advertisement LLC, established in 2013.

Currently, he resides in Prizren, is married, and has two children.
